96 rmw 172k ldm up for offer is a 1996 buick roadmaster limited estate wagon with 172k miles in light driftwood metallic. Collector's edition like every other '96 roadmaster. Loaded up with power everything. Boasting gm's corvette inspired multiport injected 5. 7l lt1 v8 engine and 4l60e 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Base 2. 56 gears; open rear end, rated for 3000 lbs. Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Light wear for age - not perfect but nicer than most. Car available for showing in mt. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition reportengine: runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Good battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. Exterior: body: body is very straight except a small dent on hood. Paint: paint is very nice. Has a few rock chips on left fender. Wood: upper wood trim was removed, painted tan and reinstalled so it won't peel like most do at this age. The side panel fake wood is in very good shape - all shiny and only a few nicks and chips. Other: lower stainless bright trim is in very nice shape. Rubber side trim is all there. Windshield and all other glass are good with no chips or cracks. Undercarriage is solid with light surface rust as seen in pics. Underhood sheet metal/wheelhouses are solid. Tailgate sill and door jambs have a couple small blisters as seen in pics. Aluminum wheels are in fair shape - some clearcoat peeling. Interior: interior of the car is in good shape. Leather seating areas are in very nice shape. Carpet in seating area is very nice with some minor stains. Headliner is in nice shape. Cargo area carpeting is clean, and third seat area is, too. No smoke or pet odors. Nice interior overall. Electrical stuff: all inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) all power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold a/c, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, keyless entry, rear window release, rear wiper, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. Driveability: drives out great. Steering is tight, alignment is good, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with good linings. Tires have about 70% tread remaining on two matched pairs of good quality whitewall radials. Solid, quiet original stainless steel exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) no complaints - drive anywhere. Balance due in 5 days by cash in person, wire transfer, or wells fargo cashier's check. No administrative fee on this auction. Any other costs - tax, emissions inspection, registration, shipping, etc. Temporary tags available at local license bureau on weekdays.
